Weirdest part was when, in the 2nd half, the announcers started to spin the 'game narrative' as the Seahawks playing what might be the greatest defensive performance of all time. Whereupon the Patriots promptly started scoring touchdowns.
Patriots score TD with 9 or so minutes to go. Down 13. You can envision them perhaps getting the ball back twice more. Will need two scores to either take the lead or tie. An extra point has them needing two touchdowns. A two point conversion has them needing another TD and 2 pointer but only then a FG. Missing the 2 pointer on the first try doesn’t cost you virtually any chance at winning versus a successful one pointer.
Vrabel kicks the XP. The announcers questioned the decision, but moved on.
Of course there are FAR LESS LIKELY scenarios where the XP would come in handy, but they are FAR LESS LIKELY!
In this multi billion dollar industry I want my coach to know what the correct strategy is. It’s why Bill’s coach McDermott was fired. He mismanaged the in game strategy so many times (13 seconds!) that his other skills (defense preparation, player motivation) were not enough.
Quote: smoothgrhI see the early line for Two-Point Conversion attempt (not necessarily successful): Yes +130, No -170
$100 wager woulda won you $130 + $100 original wager back?
Shoulda bet on this!

Yes, that is correct, but one problem is, most books will only take action on a successful 2-point conversion. The one I posted seems to be the exception.
I can only imagine how many people who had "yes" were yelling at their TVs when New England went for 1 after their first touchdown, since a 2 would put them a touchdown with 2-point conversion and a field goal from tying the game.
I don’t know the data, but my gut says it seems a 2-point attempt is fairly common these days (more than 50%?).
Mismanaging the time remaining and the time-outs left might be the thing you see the mostQuote: SOOPOOI know it was a very small part of the game…. But it just irks me….. NFL coaches are just not smart!

just for the record, my OK results with SB60 betting would have been *great* if either team successfuly got a 2 pt conversion, it was a 'second chance' protected bet that I had the most money on
