Station, El Cortez, and Wildfire appear to be teaming up to offer a couple of "survivor contests" - one for college football, and one for the NFL.
There are a couple of differences from how these normally work:
1. You can choose the same team multiple times.
2. All selections are against the spread, posted each week (similar to Circa's other NFL contest). All spreads will be half-point, so ties are impossible.
3. In the NFL version, week 18 is not played, presumably for the same reason most fantasy football leagues don't use it; most teams - especially playoff teams - will be resting their starters, so setting pointspreads would be a crapshoot. In the college version, "week zero" (games played on 8/24) and the Army-Navy game are not played.
Each entry is $25, or five (the maximum allowed per player) for $100.
The prize pool is 100% of the entry fees, with a minimum $100,000 pool for the college contest and $150,000 for the NFL one.
