"A user’s first deposit (min. $5) made between 10/1/19-10/28/19 qualifies the user to receive up to $500 in bonus funds in the form of site credits that can only be used on DraftKings. The deposit must be made while the user is physically located in IN, NJ, or WV. Bonus amount is equal to 20% of that first deposit amount, not to exceed $500 (the user must deposit $2,500 to be eligible to receive the maximum possible bonus amount of $500). Bonus funds will be awarded to the user according to the following play-thru requirement: for every $25 played on DraftKings in DFS/Sportsbook...the user will receive $1 in bonus funds released into their player account (e.g., a $2,500 deposit requires a user to play through a cumulative total of $12,500 in daily fantasy contests or sportsbook (-300 odds or longer)..."
I get the 20% of deposit, and I get the play-through, but...at -300 or longer. Yo! This seems a bit onerous to me. I won't be chasing these "bonus" dollars. What's your opinion?

It just prevents you from betting $12,500 on Alabama money line versus St Mary's school for the blind. Let's assume Alabama is 1000-1 favorite. For your $12,500 bet instead of winning $12.50 you now can win $512.50. Clearly not the intent of the promotion.
The bonus provided is essentially 4%. Seems extremely reasonable to me.

See. This is why I ask you guys. I was thinking the other way. Yes, now it seems reasonable. I was reading it as you had to bet on St Mary's School for the Blind to qualify.
Thanks

It's not just you. The wording is confusing, and an example would go a long way to clarify their meaning.

I hope I have this opportunity when it becomes legal in NYS. Depending on what the vig is, it could be +EV. But even if not, it would be at least around break even for a random better like I would probably be.

Good point. The more the merrier.Quote: onenickelmiracleNatives might make it possible.
I hate to see what it's going to look like down the road for non advantage seeking people when the internet is filled with nothing but online casinos filling social media and all other forms of advertisements and it becomes the normal #1 choice of entertainment.
Sure is, particularly after being awakened in the middle of the night by a smoke detector going off. I can see how some people would never read the small print, but it is always best to attempt it.Quote: sabreThe wording is confusing,
