Dear Wizard

Soccer betting command one of the biggest transaction in the gambling industries and many are selling their betting systems over the internet in which more than 95% of the time it doesn't work or is a scam. But recently I been reading articles on Sports Arbitrage in soccer betting and I found the explanation given is very convincing. One example is in this website:

Do you think this system can work and has anybody in the forum tried soccer Arbs betting?
Hope to get some inputs.

I'm not the Wiz but it works. Not only with Soccer, but many sports. You just have to have a lot of online accounts and time to constantly be checking them. The lines change fast and you have to be ready to jump when everything aligns. You also have to have a lot of money tied up in each online account, as you will inevetably lose a few in a row at one location (draining that account), while winning at others. The money in each account is not real liquid. It takes time to move money out of one and into another.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

The strategy (for Arbing) is research and knowing when the odds seem too good to be true. You have to invest a lot of time into the background of whatever sport you wish to bet on. Its also about maximising the difference between the odds of an event between online bookmakers, and you have to be quick, as when they notice people hitting something hard they change it quick.

I have friends in the UK who did it for a long time, and made a small but useful income of it... it took a lot of work, and they were all in the financial world so had that sort of risk/reward mindset. They got good enough to start being line changers whenever they piled in on a spread. The spreads were the area which they felt were most vulnerable.
