I don't need to know hockey to say you should take that, only betting.
According to VegasInsider:
http://www.vegasinsider.com/nhl/odds/futures/
You are able to pick the Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup at 10/1 Odds, which means that if they win you collect $1,000 and get your original $100 back.
Assuming you make the -825 bet, you have a free roll. You bet -$825 on them NOT to win the Stanley Cup and then make the futures bet of $100 ON THEM to win the Stanley Cup.
If they win, then you make $1000 and lose $825 on your bet for them not to win for a profit of $175. If they lose, then you win $100 on your -825 bet, but lose $100 on your $100 bet on them TO WIN and breakeven overall.
Unless you think the -825 is a good bet by itself. (I don't really feel the need to look into that, and I also think it would be pretty close...so would probably just depend howe you look at it) If you think the -825 is a good bet by itself, then maybe just do that...but I like the freeroll, personally. I would take the free roll every time, but if you think the -825 is good, then one could argue that you're hedging.
