I would like to know how many points I have in my favour (or against me) on my spread bets that pass 'through 0' see example(s) below:
Example A: In an NBA game I bet team A @ +3.5, they are now -2.5, is my theoretical advantage +5.0 (or something else) even though the difference in the spread is 6.0
Example B: In an NBA, game I bet team A @ -4.0, they are now +1.5, is my theoretical disadvantage -4.5, even though the difference in the spread is 5.5.
NB: I know that spreads 0.5, 0, and, -0.5 are all the same (thanks to WoO) but I want to be 100% certain that I am estimating my advantage (or disadvantage) correctly for these types of bets.
NB2: This is for bets that include overtime.
