I placed a small wager on kansas city playing detroit. Each team scored 1 run within the first 5 innings. Bottom of the 9th, the game was delayed an hour or two due to rain. The game resumed at 12:15a local time with KC scoring 1 for the win. I took the KC ML, is this a winning wager according to "standard vegas rules"?

Why would a rain delay make it not count? Sounds like the game eventually finished.

"All regular season and exhibition baseball games are considered official after 5 innings of play (4½ if the home team is winning). If a game is called or suspended after 5 innings, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play – unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in that case, the winner is then determined by the score at the time the game is called."

Major League Baseball posts the game score at MLB.com as final with KC winning. If that's not taken as authoritative where you placed your bet you are being screwed.

A suspended game is like what happened between the Royals and White Sox on Friday, April 24th. The game was tied 2-2 after 8 innings when the game was suspended due to a rainout, the game was to be completed the following day but that was rained out, and it completed April 26th with the White Sox winning 3-2.

Not according to the Official Baseball Rules:
Quote: Official Rules of Baseball, Rule 2.00

A suspended game is a called game which is to be completed at a later date.

The league will not "call" a tied game (or a game that was tied at the end of the last inning completed but the visiting team has since taken the lead) if at all possible, even if the game has to be completed months later, unless it gets to the point where it has no bearing on who gets into the playoffs; that's what "suspended" means.

And most importantly, in a game like this, bets should still be valid. If not, I'd recommend not gambling there.
