Yesterday's loss, and using the Kelly Criterion, has brought the wage size down to 1,200 (rounded down). I will be going to that number today and using the Kelly Criterion, adjusted daily, going forward. Having said that, it's going to be a long day in that 4 visiting favorites were picked today and at 1,200 each an 0 for 4 on those would cut starting bankroll down considerably.

So the money management part of this is troubling. I had thought that maybe using the Kelly Criterion would be the way to go.....and maybe I'm just misunderstanding and misusing? Dunno. In any case, it seems to me that rather than increasing the wagers as you win using the criterion, I now wonder whether the wager size should be adjusted upward when losing and downward when winning. Yesterday was a great example where the wager size was increased because of previous winnings but all, and more, was given back with an O-fer.
Don't know. Dazed and confused. Gonna figure it out though.

A few minutes ago I just noticed that the algo picked all of the visiting teams today and I thought that it was odd. I couldn't recall seeing that happen before. So I decided to dig a bit and found that the data download didn't complete. It didn't make a huge difference, but it did change one of the picks making only 5 visiting favorites for today. I have decided to refund the bankroll and change my money management technique. The visiting favorites winning % has regressed to 51.11%. I expect it to do no worse than 54%. Therefore, I am going to use the Kelly Criterion today and it shows that the wager should be 1,900. As the winning % moves back up, I will reduce what the Kelly Criterion calls for, instead of increasing it. Still undecided as to what point that will occur. But 1 day at a time......
