My take on the rules.
either take a 0-5 for 2nd bye week and still eligible to win.
Take dont take the 0-5 and the rest of your picks will just increase or decrease the amount you owe due to win % at the end of the season.

I respectfully disagree. I took my bye week in the first week, which I'm entitled to. I simply missed the 2nd. week. However, and this per what you pasted here, "missing two weeks" will have the option of either forfeiting or accepting 0-5. I have not missed 2 weeks, only 1, so it doesn't apply.

Also respectfully, steel, I have to agree with the guys, because that's how the rule went for me last year. 1 week I missed was a bye. 2nd missed week I took an 0-5 penalty. I see what you're saying, but I don't think that, just because the weeks involved were weeks 1 and 2, that the rule should be interpreted differently. It does, of course, complicate things that there's a bye week here on week 3, but that, as what your options are, will be up to Mission.

That's an interesting way to interpret it.
I'll have to go back and re-read the rules and exactly how they are worded, but my interpretation was the same as rdw4potus... a bye week is considered a missed week.

Amendment to the rules: Everyone is allowed TWO bye wees with no penalty, this season. A missed week for any reason is considered a bye week. Those players who took an optional bye last week (Week 3... because of the lateness in getting out the lines) must consider that one of their two optional bye weeks.
This way, every player will be on the same level at the end of the season. This way steeldco won't be penalized for (what might be) a misinterpretation of the rules. This way everyone else who didn't take a bye week in Week 3 (maybe because they got their picks in before it was announced this week could be considered a bye week) can now optionally do so later, and have an equal number of byes with the players that did.

Yea, they are off by enough it's possible Buzzard could have posted either of those two games by accident, with the intention of actually wanting to post a different game.
If Mission is using the grading calculator, no worries. The grading program ignores all lines entered by the player, and only grades the games according to the line Mission enters for each game in the NFL Lines and Results worksheet tab.
I need to fix it so the program recognizes JAC as valid for Jacksonville. That's gotta be a big oversight on my part. As written, it needs another letter. JACK* is okay but it doesn't know what JAC is. Can't believe I missed that.
Ed, I suspect your Excel file assumes Hawks means Seahawks, so you'll probably have to change his entry to Falcons.
I'm working out of town this weekend and I don't have a copy of the program with me. When I get home LATE this evening, I will try to find time to enter everyone's picks, and the final scores, and grade everything at my end. (I do know that I will have to first edit any pick of JAC to JACK. I need to fix that.
Also, here's a link to the latest version of the grading calculator. This version fixes a bug that prevented the program from properly grading this week, and what would have been future weeks. (The number of teams having a Bye each week this year doesn't match last year's format. For example, last year only two teams had Byes in Week #4, not six teams.)
This version includes the lines, everyone's picks, and the final scores through Week 4. Click the button to grade them.

Don't like PATS coach so picked their opponent KC.

Sigh....I guess my NFL prowess is showing through, I can't even get the friggin team names correct let alone pick the games well! I definitely meant Falcons and lost that game and at 2-2 going in t that game there was real chance I would have a week over .500......it was not to be.
On the plus side, I am $17 better off this week on what I owe 1st place than last week.....so there is that :-/.

I am pretty sure this is addressed in the rules. I could be wrong but I believe mission said he will provide a email address to suspended folks.
