A tough week in the NFL coming up with alot of "coin flip" games. So I open up for discussion 2 games I was looking at.

Indy at houston....FOR DISCUSSION,

Houston has a powerful defense when looking at yardage allowed. It doesnt translate to points allowed because schaub kept throwing pick 6's.
win record is horrible because ....schaub kept throwing pick 6's, giving away games

Ok schaub is out. The QB did well against a tough KC defense...almost won the game outright. Indy loses reggie wayne. Huge loss.

Looking at Under,

Small lean to houston winning outright

Balt at cleveland. Balt defense does not travel well. Cleveland nearly beat KC on the road. Both teams are one dimentional with no run game. So it will come down to the best pass defense..which I feel cleveland has.

cleveland winning outright looks doable

any comments. Unlike some..I dont list "picks",....I list games of interest and my thoughts....anyone is welcome to dissagree or agree. I dont have a lock on predicting the future. Just my thoughts.

I have no "favorite team"..so my thoughts are just based on what I view as solid research.

Agree with Indy vs. Houston. I lean toward the under. Can't see enough separation between ravens and browns. I'll most likely stay away.

My amateur handicapping has K C by close to 7, 3 looks mighty good.

kc might be a goodplay. I hear teir QB has rib issues and the flu...and as of yestersay was a gametime decision, meaning their third stringer could start. If not their current QBmay be playing with issues either hurting ribs and or weakened from the flu
this may be the week KC actually covers

I don't know why but I am on the other side. I will take Indy and Balt.
Cleveland is bad and so is Houston.

Houston over Indy... Divisional games are tough. But houston has proved they can win those.... The first part of their schedule was tough and no one (but my brother who has doubted shaub forever) could have predicted the implosion of the Houston offense. The schedule is in their favor on the second half. All of the Player Releases have finally caught up with them (Holiday and Dreesen in denver, Jacoby Jones and vickers to baltimore, and slew of others)

Baltimore.. easy

Over the past four weeks, Houston has a higher (better) NFL ranking in 11 of 15 different offensive categories. (Rushing attempts per game, rushing yards per game, yards per rushing attempt, pass completions per game, time of possession, first downs, etc., etc., etc.)

Over this same period of time, Houston also has a better NFL ranking in 10 of 15 similar defensive categories.

So yes, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Houston wins outright.

I took Minnesota @ +425 (large bet)
I was worried they weren't going to start Ponder, but I just read that they are, so with a hurt defensive line on Dallas, I think it's a GREAT bet.
Of course, Stafford gave them a PAINFUL loss last week, so Romo may want to avenge that one.

dallas has proven they can beat substandad offenses...even on the road...(philly)

so I am guessing they can beat substandard offenses at home

peterson is hampered nursing a hanstring
ponder has trouble finding secondard and tertiary open receivers

winning outright i can see for dallas

but to ask the worst defense to cover double digits....i am not on that page

minny winning outright...is another story i am not buying

I stand by my pick: Dallars.
reasons 1- Dallars can score a lot.
2-MINN running back is hurt plus family problem.
3- MINN QB problem.
So Dallars winning and cover.

as i figured, the worst defense continues to give up points to weak teams. it played out as I suspected
