The odds are all over the place. Orb is now 7/1, Verrazano 9/1. There are going to be a lot of money making opportunities this afternoon....

Probably has something to do with the expected rain. Could be a muddy race. Who is the mud going to favor??
Be careful when you follow the masses, the M is sometimes silent.

I wish Super Ninety Nine didn't pull out (he had enough points to enter)...he romped in the slop at Oaklawn and probably would have been a nice price after his recent struggles.

The problem is a lot of these horses haven't been in sloppy conditions. So you can look at the one or two that did well in a muddy or sloppy race, but guess what? No one knew if THEY were going to be good or bad on an off track before that race. Who's to say there aren't 3 or 4 horses in here who will love the slop, but this will be the first time to show us.
And there's a difference between muddy and sloppy. If it's really nasty in the next couple of hours, none of the horses have dealt with that.
