It seems like whenever I take something alittle too early or make some type of mistake, it’s when I have a coffee.

Coffee is known to make you impulsive and make your mind race. Anyone else have to take coffee out of their diet to be a better advantage player?
Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. I live in Maryland where crab cakes are king.

A double shot of Baileys in the coffee tends to help one not notice their mistakes.
The older I get, the better I recall things that never happened

I find I play better when I'm awake. Caffeine seems to help me with that.

I have a hunch that billryan's 'dirty coffee' may prove quite popular with Utahns on vacation...

"Take something a little too early" can mean two different things here. One referring to a very specific type of advantage play, and the other to ingesting a substance early in the day, and I cannot determine from context which it is.

A gram of Tylenol and a couple of Bronkaids, and you'll never go back to coffee!

Try tea versus coffee you'll get a softer kick.

As far as any alcohol, I trust those are joke responses.

Although...the players who take small amounts to a million are almost invariably inebriated, shoving the stacks forward without caring. But I've observed or heard of such players not walk / not walking away after the extraordinary wins, and give / giving it all back, too.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

I keep a box of Bronkaids for when I cannot stop driving, but am starting to hallucinate from fatigue and struggling to keep my eyes open for more than 12 seconds.

The problem is when I do get back to a civilized place to sleep, it often takes 4 or 5 hours to unwind.

Anyone with a heart condition should proceed with caution.

Not at all! I like to drink, and treat the free alcohol as part of my pay. But I only drink stuff that I like! Most stores have at least one decent thing available to unrated players of questionable status, and I keep track of that so I know what to ask for. If you're drinking something just because it has alcohol in it you're in trouble.

It doesn't affect my AP, which is fully based on universally accepted AP math and reduced to forms that require only arithmetic to be used at the table.

The only thing I need to be aware of is not losing count... of my drinks! Too much alcohol is unhealthy, and if I am going from store to store it's easy to have a drink here, a drink there, and by the end of a day I've had 10 drinks. That's too much, makes me feel sick. So now I plan my drinking day along with my AP day, and have my drinks only in the stores that provide the stuff I like the best, limiting them to 2-4 per day.

That I don't do and for exactly that reason; you're going to lose sleep in the long run and pass it on to the next day.

Instead, I have just developed extremely low standards for motels, as in "This place would be closed for health and safety violations in Calcutta."
