I’m wondering which game sucked his mind and money…

Personal insult. Three days. Bob Dancer is a member here.
However, I'd be interested too. Can anyone link to the story?

Losing $27k in a day is much less than I would think his worst day would be. The stakes he played gave such high variance and volatility.
I had my stop loss at $10k per day and I didn't play the high denomination games Bob played.

Is there a way to reverse Sza's Suspension? It seems he didn't KNOW that Bob Dancer is a Member here. Heck, even I didn't know Bob Dancer was a Member here until your post. 💡 I remember someone on here saying an insulting thing about Slot Lady , a Member in Good Standing and getting a Suspension for insulting her. Slot Lady hadn't visited in about FOUR YEARS when the Poster made the insulting post about her. I think that Poster didn't even KNOW she was EVER a Member on here. 💡
Personally, I’ve been down over $200 (maybe $300) on quarter 10/7 double bonus. It’s nominally positive EV. Being down $300 is 240 units. If you’re playing that at a $100 denom, you get to $24,000 loss. I may be doing the math wrong somewhere but I’m also surprised BD didn’t have much bigger swings. Maybe he meant most amount down that he walked away from (not interim session low before coming back)? In any case sounds like an interesting story.
Yikes, as of July 1 this year it appears he’s down 150k for the year from video poker alone (source Las Vegas Advisor). I hope it’s just a case of bad variance. That’s a lot of money!
Quote: TinManMy guess is that it is likely some game with a terrible base schedule but with a lucrative progressive. There have been a few times here when people have talked about similar games. Like the sequential Royal game that was something like 92% payback if you exclude the sequential Royal but like 107% when accounting for the sequential Royal.

Bob lost the money playing slots not video poker. He now plays advantage slots.

Given what he said in the blog, my guess he could be trapped by this one - Raise the Sails (https://ggbmagazine.com/article/raise-the-sails/)
This screenshot is for demonstration's purpose. He could be chasing the Gold progressive. Just my guess.
Stealing an entire article is against the rules here. Deprives the original publisher of potential advertising revenue, but in this case it's even worse: the original article is *paywalled*.Quote: szaHere is the article...

I missed that one.
I think a warning is in order for sza.

And for the record, I did not read the article. LVA did steal from me, but I won't respond in kind.

I like that you will not "get even," with someone who stole from you and are taking the high road instead. 😀💡 You fight fire with WATER, not fire. Water is the true way to fight fire, not more fire. 😀💡

You do know not to throw water on a grease fire, right? The best way to fight a fire is to deprive it of fuel and oxygen.
WATER is not the true way to fight fire. Most fires you might encounter are grease or electrical and water will be as effective as gasoline.

Taunting? You must have a seriously dark soul to think a stoic sentence is taunting. You are just ridiculous.
In any event, sza blocked.

I was thinking more along the lines of firefighters putting out fires with high pressure water. 😀💡

Quote: Roberto21My question is why is Bob Dancer taking on so much risk in his retirement? I imagine he can’t easily make 27k back at his age. RIP.

$150 K is not a great sum of money to a lot of people
a great many people will make much more than $27K in the stock market on just one good day
the stock market has been on a tear for 11 of the last 12 years (except for 2020 - Covid)
if Dancer has invested there which is likely he could easily be worth $ millions
a quick google search indicated there are about 22 million millionaires in America at this time - see link - multi year chart of Dow Jones Industrial Average

I wouldn't assume Bob doesn't have a nice nest egg and don't believe he'd be playing with money he needs for other things. He had a bad run of luck, nothing more. I wouldn't be starting any Gofundmes, just yet.

That’s hilarious! Maybe Bob Dancer and Anthony Curtis chopped the play together haha.
Don’t worry it will only take like 4000 memberships to make that money back.
PS: Raise the sails is a fake AP game.
Can you list any others?
Is there a trusted source with all the beatable games? I know the Wizard lists a few.
New games and variants are released quite frequently.
Quote: Roberto21What do you mean by fake AP game? 🤔

Raise the sails has no set number that makes anything a play on it. Most AP’s who play it think just because the numbers accumulate on the bronze/silver/gold it can be advantageous.
I’ve seen people take the bronze at 50 and it go to 105 and lose. I’ve also seen people take the silver at 150 and lose. Gold at 200 and also lose. Massive losses.
I put it in the same realm as wolf run eclipse. Only Tweaker’s, new AP’s and gambling addict AP’s even look at those games (Which happens to be most AP’s) thankfully I’m not one of those people.
Quote: DobrijI didn't get it. What is the principle and what is the percentage of advantage for the gambler of this game? What was his average bet?
link to original post
Literally all these games are the same. How many spins until an event. How much does the event pay. How much did the house take while getting to the event. If those are unknown numbers, you're gambling not AP'ing.
