Just hit a decent payout of $900+ on a Buffalo Ascension machine on a $2 bet. Won't bore you with the specifics, but basically the Stampede Tower was One Arrow away from triggering and I figured, what the heck? After $10 coin in, it triggered and paid out accordingly.

The weird thing is when I went to this machine before and after this hit, I noticed there was ALWAYS a lurker either sitting directly behind me or pacing back and forth while I was playing. Some even not so subtly staring at my remaining Credit Balance before darting their eyes away when I looked at them.

I've been told that Hard Rock Casinos attract Slot Vultures and some even work in teams. I wouldn't have thought much of it until I realized they were all the same ethnicity and pretty obvious about it.

Is Buffalo Ascension a popular target for Slot Vultures?

Yes, at the local casino I frequent, there's one guy that sits near Buffalo Ascension all day. If someone is playing and it begins to look like a +EV, he will sit at the machine next to them and chat with them so he can slide over if they leave. Meanwhile, I vulture the other 9 games in the casino while playing Bonus Poker.

All with Fanny packs/satchel’s and wearing masks too I bet. There’s certainly a combination of looks that are a dead giveaway.
