I've hit 4 handpays on the same vp game in an hr at $2 bet level.
But on slots, could it be true?
I ask because I lost $1000 at $1.60/spin chasing a big Major.
Someone hit the Grand for 5 figures on that machine an hr before.
The machine ate my $ fast. I had no big wins.
And the bonus rounds paid between $5 and $75 with most in the $20-$30 range.
Based on the points earned, I estimate 50% return.
So do major slot manufacturers program some of their slots to immediately recoup seed $ after a big payout?
(I say some because if it was most/all, then noone would play the game after a big hit.)
Can you change my title from JACKPOT/PROGRESSIVE to 'Jackpot or Progressive' so more of the title appears in the Recent Threads list?
Quote: 100xOddsI know in vp, it doesn't become tight after a hand pay.

It's all just random luck.
In the above situation everyone suspects manufacturer of rigging machine to not give good payouts after a big win.
OTOH, if you had won several big payouts back to back you would be theorizing about hot and cold machines.
Welcome to the world of variance. Where anything (short of winning 100% of the time as some people claim) can happen.
er.. i meant seed $. ($10k in this case)Quote: rsactuaryA slot machine with a progressive thinks of the progessive only as the reset amount, not the current amount, because the current amount is pre-funded by players.
