The rewards and penalties as you move around the board would have to be adjusted to your betting amount, instead of the usual amounts.
But the moves of your piece is still governed by die, so an rng is fine.
You could still buy houses and hotels as you continue to play. AI players (governed by rng) would sometimes payoff landing on your property, and you would lose money by landing on theirs.
Landing on Community and Chance would confer wins or losses of bets .
Perhaps win mini, major or grand jackpot spin landing on Free Parking?
Any reason why this wouldn't work? Other than you need rights to the game. heh.
The Game of Life had a pretty short shelf life, as did Battleship. There have been countless branded slots and few last very long.
Has anyone seen a Sons of Anarchy or Reel Detectives game lately? I haven't.
Wheel of Fortune and Monopoly are iconic.

Most of the people wanting to play the slot are the ones who quit as soon as the other has Boardwalk and Park Place. You never know, maybe they'll make the game and it'll be an AP opportunity if the people want to stop playing.
They actually had something like this in the late 90s. I can't remember exactly how it worked anymore this is just the best I can remember. I want to say it was either Sigma, Bally's or Williams. I do remember it was a nickel denomination.Quote: rxwineWould it really be that hard to make the Monopoly Slot more like the real game?

Once you got into the bonus round your base bet amount or a percentage of that would be automatically added to each one of the properties. It would roll the "RNG" dice and whatever property it landed on would give you a multiplier that was somewhat correlated with the values on a normal Monopoly board. Community chest and chance give you extra bonuses, the cards were somewhat similar to the ones you would find on a real Monopoly game. You got something special for landing on free parking. I believe Snake-Eyes gave you twice the value of the property. I believe the bonus round ended once you made it all the way around the board rather than a certain amount of rolls, but I could be wrong on that and Snake-Eyes actually gave you an extra roll, however I'm leaning towards the fact that the bonus round ended once you got around the board. The one thing that made it more like playing real Monopoly(and most interesting to me and very useful in the right Advantage play circumstances, as to why I was playing it).... prior to starting your bonus round you could pick and choose what properties you wanted to add more money to, you could load up a significant amount on any or all of the properties normally allowed. I know you could bet hundreds in the bonus round and perhaps you could have up to $1,000 or more in action bet on the properties during the bonus round.
Assuming the dice were in fact random, I always wondered if there was a way to take advantage of that knowing certain property should come up more often, but I really didn't think the game manufacturers would be that stupid, and I was a little wary if the bonus rolls were actually random or not. Assuming it was random, If there was no house edge or player advantage during the bonus round on your extra bets made(break even), it would be an interesting way earn comps by betting the minimum amount to enter the bonus round and then you can load it up as much as possible during the bonus round(of course you would have to make sure the machine recognized that as a bet being made).
There was more than enough good stuff back then to keep you busy, so I put it on the back burner and figured I'd look into it another time, unfortunately the game disappeared once I got to thinking about it again. From what I can remember there was never a lot of them around in the first place.
