I think there are a number of sites online that offer IGT slots you can play for free. Since you seem to be obsessed with slots perhaps you should set up a spreadsheet play and track them. This might help you learn more about slots.Quote: kravaON average how often do you get a hit 200X or more over your bet size? (these are for people that play 3 or 4 wheel slots. Not the penny machines. I have been going to the casino for about 4 or 5 weeks now an average of 4 times a week. I average about putting $200-$300 through the machines which include any wins the machine gives me. I avarage about one 240x to 360x hit a week which are on $1 slots playing 2 credits and have been on the double or triple 3x 4x 5x machine or whatever. I have hit 3x 6x double bar, 5x 3x double bar, today I hit 7bar 7bar 6x for 480. all of these hits came within the first $100 spent. Today the 7bar etc came $12 into the first $20 on the machine after I lost 2 $20's on another one like it. My question is is what I am doing normal or I am lucky? I have also ran probably $3000 though the machines and still haven't hit anything over 360x the bet and is that normal? how hard is it to hit 1000X the bet? I am getting a bit frustrated I am trying to hit something to get the machines to go off on the $1 and I am barely 1/2 way there How often does someone uisually hit something decent? Every $1000 spent hit a $500? Ever $2000? what is average for most people?
Quote: kravaThere aren't many hits. Look on youtube for 3x 4x 5x slot. You will find 10-20 at most.
Yeah, for a certain game...sure. Notice there aren't many videos where the players get creamed and don't win anything?
Obviously there's so many different slots and settings. one Double Diamond setting .25 3 coiner top JP = 46,650Quote: onenickelmiracleSlots are meant to be deceptive, especially with regards to guestimating large wins. They want you to feel there is always a chance when they're long shots. You know a royal flush with strategy comes over every 40000 hands for an 800x win, so you have to assume the slots would need more spins.

Yeah, it's quite dependent on the slot game and its payout structure. But even at video poker, where optimal probabilities are usually legally defined by the paytable and the probabilities of a real poker deck, these hits are not too frequent in many games. Here are the two common games where I would think 200X+ would be most frequent. 1 in 4429 for full pay deuces and 1 in 3801 for 8/5 Super Aces Bonus.
Quote: kravaMaybe I am asking the wrong questions. What is the average amount of spins you have to do before you get something "decent" what would you say your average is? I would say mine is like 200-300 spins before I get something good. God knows how many to get something great. I haven't had a large X since I won $725 for my friend on 1 quarter which must have been some 2000X hit
Some slots are programmed for lots of little wins.
Some programmed for a decent amount of medium wins.
Some are almost nothing or huge wins.
Infinite (near) variations of above, looking for the sweet spot that keeps a player spinning.
There is no one number of spins that can be even estimated to answer your question, as was said above, it depends on the paytable, but also on the long.run of millions of spins to approach that paytable in every respect.
I wasn't asking for a REAL mathmetical answer to it. I was just asking based on people's experience. I would think people would know about how many spins they are averaging before they get something good. I mostly play on Triple 3x 4x 5x and double 3x 4x 5x. If I were playing on the 100times pay slot I know it could take awhile to win on that thing.
Quote: kravaEvertime I go into the casino I see atleast 1 person with 1000 in the machine and several people 500+ so people hit something.
You shouldn't read too much into that, it's a big denomination machine, so $100 can go pretty quickly. If you're looking at amounts that are cashed out, without someone physically at the machine, that could just be one or a few people that hit something on one machine bouncing around trying different ones, but it's all essentially the same ticket. Secondly, on those high denomination machines, sometimes people will load it with a few C-Notes so they don't have to go into their wallets or purses several times. It's not like they all stuck a twenty in and had a $500+ hit, and even if they are playing $20 in at a time, you don't know how many $20's it took to get the ticket up to $500.
Quote: kravaI want to hit one over $1000 on the dollar machine and be done with it. It feels like it might take forever to get one over that... I mostly play on Triple 3x 4x 5x and double 3x 4x 5x. If I were playing on the 100times pay slot I know it could take awhile to win on that thing.
Very difficult to hit a maximum pay jackpot.
I hit one on a five dollar Double Diamond about ten years ago, and none since.
Now when I play slots I favor Double 3X 3X 4X Pay, and the highest multiplier I've had over many thousands of spins is 500X.
I have seen two others hit maximum jackpots on this game, one at MGM Grand, one at a tribal joint, so I know it can be done.
Quote: IbeatyouracesThere are thousands of YouTube videos of these kinds of slot hits. Naturally though, those same people don't post the MILLIONS of times they get nothing and lose.
I respect the hell out of people who post Youtube slot videos of them losing. One guy in particular started off with $100 in credits and ended with like $5. I love that they show the dark side of gambling and not just the good side.
