In Deconstructing the Atkins Diet Slot Machine, I'm trying to figure out how to calculate SCATTER 4 and SCATTER 3 combination.
For Scatter 5, since its a 5x3 slot machine so I just need to multiply the number of scatter in each reel by 3 then multiply all 5 results together.
But for Scatter 4 and Scatter 3, since there can be different combination, for example: 1234, 1235 or 123, 124, etc..
What is the best way to calculate this?

Just like that. You have to break it out in order to account for the different numbers of symbols on each reel.
