As for the gift card, I assume it was a Visa one. Those $100 ones have a $5.95 activation fee. Not sure why you would want to lose almost $6 and get no gambling fix out of it.
Self exclusion is the way to go I say.
I think moderation is also a good way to go. I am seriously and strongly working on playing with a strict set limit of gambling money. I actually stuck with my set limit and ran for the hills once the limit was reached.

I cannot play my entire paycheck because I do have the responsibility of paying the electric bill. Plus, I was so disgusted with myself for playing half my paycheck away around two weeks ago. No way am I going to play my entire paycheck if I'm upset for playing half of it away.

Yeah, Dean was becoming way too obsessed with this Kentry guy. It was getting creepy and unsettling.

You just rode your self in a roller coaster ride. You almost loss all the gains you made on that casino but lucky you manage to recover some of your gains. The local casino you just played in might cheated on you so you would play more to get the free $5 bonus but lucky you win and manage to have that free $5 bonus.
