The only slot machine that I enjoy enough to EVER play at a negative expectation is Quick Hits Platinum. Video Keno, on the other hand, is a different matter...as long as it's cheap.

For me old machines were the best! I used to spend lot of time sitting in pub and playing (and sometimes spending more money than i should:P). I remember one machine called Black Horse and Magic Target game. Recently i found it at some online casino and its becoming one of my fav slots:)

I enjoy the Ultra Stack Lions and Dragons.
One of my all time favorites is Star Wars.
Lucky Lemmings is one of the older games I like. I can't recall if I've seen this one in Vegas, but I've played it in Reno and in Mississippi.

The video slot Fox and Hound by IGT.
One I haven't played but am going to try is Titanic by Bally. However, max bet is $4.00, so I'm going to have to be feeling pretty rich and lucky. At some point...lol.

Star Wars Trilogy machines were the absolute best... Disney took them all back though.

Sigma Bonus Run had some interesting single line linked slots they put IGT to shame. I remember one called something like King Queen prince It was very fun.

Quick hit and hot roll. I always play at least one of the two if I do good in the poker room. Also there was an Alien trilogy slot machine I found at Ameristar which was pretty cool.

I like two. The Double Diamond because it seems to have the least frills and pay more often than the triples, quads, quints, etc.
And, the new Mike Myer's "Austin Powers" is quite amusing, albeit unprofitable for me thus far. It is a hoot - makes me want to sit through the same silly jokes again.

I too have noted shenanigans, but that is nothing new. Nothing wrong with pointing them out as you run into them. You seem to have a knack for spotting them. MicroGaming slots are my fave, they've got a wide array of options for slot lovers. My ultimate favorite though is Cashanova. I'm sucker for pick features, makes me feel like I'm of a great manipulation.

I ain't never watched Game of Thrones. I understand that it is some sort of "Sopranos come to Middle Earth". I understand its a very successful show and has some real cute girls in it. I also understand that these characters are copyrighted and marketed. They ain't marketed for free. Somebody pays a licensing fee and recurrent royalties. That money is in turn paid by the PLAYERS in the way of fewer wins or wins of lesser amounts. The casino sure does not absorb those fees, they pass them on to the players. There's a 5c and a 1c version of Bally 9 credit Mystic Lamp machines in Cherokee that seem pretty low variance. ALso the Lord of the Rings games there near the 1c Mystic Lamp were pretty loose.

I agree the returns are undoubtedly lower for fancy licensed machines. Most of my play is recreational/comps, so if I am going to play a -EV game I'm going to play one that I throughly enjoy. I've had decent luck on GoT though (and it's 100% luck), but I'm about even on it after ~16hrs of slow minimum wager play.

Recently saw a post about skill based slots machines. The latest entries to try and attract millennial s are Alien Invaders and PacMan. Both games were introduced in USA in 1980. Most demographer define millennial s as born in the mid 1980's. Do you think these games will capture the intended audience? What next, skill based PONG ?
