In vegas, is there a positive correlation between if a casino has higher paytable VP (i.e. 100%+ full pay) and higher theo payback slot machines? For example, would the .25 double diamond theo payback at these casinos be 94% or 95%, instead of 90% or 92.5%?

All casinos strive for a mix. All casinos find that if they get too many of those darned leeches sucking at a Video Poker Full Pay machine and hogging the hell out it, their customers get sore so they will rip out the full pay stuff if they have to so as to get rid of the hogs. In general, if a casino has to buy locals with good VP they will also be buying them with what would count as good slots. Its places like the Venetian that can afford to have lousy slots. Other casinos can't afford their machines that low.

Yes. The casinos never publish their slot paybacks, but the ones that have (Palms & El Cortez) have a very high correlation between slot payback and VP payback.Quote: IAchance5In vegas, is there a positive correlation between if a casino has higher paytable VP (i.e. 100%+ full pay) and higher theo payback slot machines? I don't know but if you go to a casino that has full pay video poker, If you sit down at any random video poker game at that casino, there is probably a 99 per cent chance that you are not sitting at a full pay machine. I don't know if there is any positive correlation but it seems to me that full pay VP is kind of an advertising gimmick. Even if a casino has full pay machines, there are only a few of them and are generally in low foot traffic areas.
When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums

There may be a small to moderate correlation, but with slot machines, you'll never really know without a PAR sheet or a videophone and a lot of bookkeeping/combinatorics.
For my home casino base, this correlation is not exactly true.
