Right now, The WSOP is on ESPN, and the guide on my cable system says "Live". Is it really live though? I can tell that Lon is not as polished and scripted as usual, there's a lot more pauses and delays. But it's only on for 2 hours. Did they tape it earlier today?

Yes I've been watching. They keep talking about "30 minutes" though, but they haven't explicitly explained it. I think it's on a 30 minute delay, and they stay with the same table no more than 30 minutes at a time (they may even be breaking up the table after it's on TV for 30 min). So by the time a table is on TV, they aren't together anymore, or it's at least not being filmed anymore. They briefly were talking about the NGC rules and whatnot.

Max Heinzlemann, a 21 y/o who has won 2 Tournaments in Europe recently.
He will be broke soon playing that way. A with a 6 kicker going all-in with a raise in front.
Stupid play.
I hope they interview him to see why he made that play.

I think they mentioned the two of them have A LOT of history online. So I don't think it was just a typical amateur move. Something else was going on. But yes, it appeared stupid in a vacuum.

There's more live footage later tonight, and again tomorrow, and tomorrow night, and the next day. All live (or on 30 minute delay), so check your ESPN2 listings. They're filming throughout both Amazon and Pavilion rooms and editing it for later broadcast like in previous years.

30 minute delay posts are correct. it's 'almost' live. But they do the commentary live so there's no time for writers to come up with witty banter. That's probably why Norman Chad is not doing the 'almost' live shows.
