Which do you think is better to invest your time and $$$ in ? Or do both ?

Both, at least. Maybe try craps and Pai Gow Poker, too.

If you're talking about a hobby do what you enjoy. If you're talking about making a living, I would not suggest blackjack.

For me it depends on how much time I have to devote to the session and if I am with friends or not. If I am alone, or with my buddy who is also a poker guy or/and plan a few hours it is poker. If I plan to play less than an hour or am with a group BJ is going to be more my choice. Minimums and my mood at the time can also drive it.
IOW, do both.
