Hello! This is my first post. I've been a fan of Michael for many years. I always used his Q-6-4 rule when playing 3 card poker on cruise ships. For many years! I'm 69 yrs. old!

We here in Florida can only do sports betting from home. No casino games. It's sad. I have a VPN but I think they can detect that now.

Anyways, I recently started playing at playwsop. My favorite game is Ultimate Texas Hold'Em . It's a play money website, but you do have to buy chips and the "bells and whistles" to play the other "carnival" games.

My question is with the Ulltimate Texas Hold'Em. The dealer qualifier here is a pair of 4's or better. Does that change any of the strategy that Michael has graciously shared with us? Which was based on a qualifier of any pair, not 4's. Does it change the odds to make it a bad game? I see that Michael says the house edge is only 2.18% . Not bad. But with 4's??

Thank you for a reply.

UTH is a game with 9 cards (5 cards on the board and 2 cards each in the player's and dealer's hole cards) and three decision points for betting. (each with its own strategy). That makes it a damn difficult game to calculate the math on.

Which is why no one in the forum has jumped in and answered your question.

I have done no computer calcs, not even picked up a pencil and napkin. My SWAG is that this change in when the dealer qualifies will increase the house advantage by about 1.4%.
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

Do you really think that the house edge goes up by 50%? We're only talking about going from a pair of twos to a pair of fours as qualifiers.
