Susie Zhao found dead.
Zhao was 33.
The FBI is now also involved in the homicide investigation, WDIV-TV reported, and police are asking the public to provide any leads.
Two hikers found Zhao’s burned remains on at 8:05 a.m. when they pulled into the parking area of a trail head at Pontiac Lake Recreation Are, police told WDIV.
Her mother was the last person to see her, the day before at around 5:30 p.m., according to Casino.org. Police in White Lake Township, Michigan, think she died sometime after 11:45 p.m., but they don’t know how."

I’m only familiar with a few poker players, but as this is a gambling community I just figured there is always a chance someone reading might have some information pertaining to the case in what sounds like a homicide.

Likely a mistaken comment from Casino.org. I would guess that "Her mother was the last person to see her ..." should instead have been stated as "Her mother is the last person known to have seen her ...."

I was the last person to see my twin. I certainly didnt kill him.
He was found shot in the head 150 miles away in a town that we had never been before. His truck was found in a hidden beach stuck. His glasses were broken. All the cops said foul play. Cop Said Someone was with him. No gun powder in wound. Distance shot , not suicide

I suppose , they drove to the beach to hide the body. 150 miles in a small town to thwart the investigation. Got stuck. And left him there.
I was told by a worker from the poor neighborhood that the streets are very bad now. An increase in crime. I almost got mugged leaving a casino.

I was trying to guess that as well.
Being that the high stakes poker world gets quite a lot of public info out on their top players he could have used that information to con her into thinking he had all sorts of connections with top players, and that he was just someone she had never met.
As for sex? Who knows. Maybe he was promising to show her his collection of Poker memorabilia. Or mayBe she was blitzed from alcohol or a date rape drug. The last story I read said she was bound, raped with a large object and set on fire while still alive.
At the extreme end would be something like Faces / Traces of Death - best not to look at stuff like that.

Jeez. Lucky for him he was in a state without the death penalty I guess. Well, unless he wants to die sooner I guess. Because bars will be with him until his last day here on this Earth...
Probably has little to do with her being a poker player, but who knows?
