Seems simple, but sounds stupid, at least to me. There's gonna be 100 angles from 100 cameras all looking at your hands/shuffle if you deal out a $160k bad beat. I would like to see the video. I always wonder why some of these slight of hand people can't or don't do things like this

Criminals are dumb. Today I was contracted to audit a companies billing. I found that an employee stole 278k over the last 90 days when their revenue was only 420k. I mean gee they are going to notice that. She could have stolen 50k and might have gotten away with it.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

It's always tempting in a small company to overlook financial controls. If you are an owner and you have a bookkeeper with signing and/or banking authority, I would be checking account activities daily and asking for bank recons every period.
In the case of that amount of theft, I always wonder if the bookkeeper just cashes the checks that customer sends and then tells the owner that the company hasn't paid.
Yikes.
