WSOP 2015 and room availability?

Not that I want to come visit you, but where do people generally stay when going to Las Vegas for three weeks, for an event like the WSOP? Is there any availability problem generally speaking?

There is also a vicious rumor that some people go to Las Vegas only to play the satellite games and win a fortune as "most" people don't know how to play??

Combined with the almost laughable rumor many "poker players" take advantage of hot rolls at craps tables and pound them to the table limits? causing fear to rise up in various casino's....
