HPO or HPT?

So here in St. Louis this month we have the Heartland Poker Tour at River City and Hollywood Poker Open at Hollywood Casino, which would you guys say is better? HPO seems a little cheaper but which would you guys say is a better tournament over all? This is also the first time I'm considering entering a major poker tournament so if ones more fun for a less experienced player I'd like to know that too. What do you guys prefer?
