Quote: AxelWolfThere is zero reason to pay for any chips. There are tons of places to play free. Personally I would like to see something with a bit better graphics and animation and more fun.
Standard Texas holdem would be best to start off with. I prefer money be sent before the start. Just a suggestion but I would try to restrict it to members who have been here for at least a few weeks.
I can see all kinds of problems if a flock of new people sign up.
Yeah, live and learn about the chips. I do find pokerstars to be very easy to enjoy. You're welcome to suggest other places that have better graphics or terms. But, if we get a poker league going, I'm offering to give the first 60 people 100K in chips (free transfer) on pokerstars so they have plenty to work with, and I'd still have more than enough myself. Or I'm willing to change to some other free site to join.
you can do tournaments fast. Sit and go style. 30 people wouldn't take long at all.Quote: NareedI like the idea and would play casual games as time allows. A league or trournament would be difficult given my schedule.
Quote: 98ClubsDo these Poker sites have Home Tournies/Rings availible as a "Flash Game" that requires only a name/pass? People like me w/o Windows/MacOS can easily go to a dot net site and login. Downloads/Play isn't supported here. Perhaps TH/O8/Razz as a tourney-style.
What are you using? Linux? Tablet? Phone? They have mobile apps. But that's doesn't support "home games".
How and why? Not saying your wrong but explain please.Quote: Dicenor33Poker attracts crime. The game can be rigged big time.
Quote: beachbumbabsI bought play money chips because they only stake you 1000, which is the minimum for any one game, when you sign up, and I wanted to keep playing. Pretty much how it works on any FB app as well. I found out later that they do renew the stake at some interval, but it's still only enough for 1 tournament, and many of the tournaments are more than that. Tuition, I figured; I am trying to learn more about poker in all varieties.
Fair enough, I can't think of anywhere else you'd be able to play something like 2-7 Triple Draw, even for real money, in the US market. Just seemed weird to me.
Jeez, I really wish I could play lowball games for real money online. I have a feeling I'd be really profitable if those games became popular lol.

I don't know. He has taken a lot of grief for getting backed off in AC and has never lost his cool. He must be made of ice.
He does not seem like the tilting type, I suspect everyone has a little tilt in them given the right circumstance.Quote: soxfanI wonder how long it would take for me to put the Lemieux66 on tilt, hey hey?
If I had to guess I would say he is fairly tight as a poker player.

Lemieux getting backed off in AC is putting ME on tilt. I am dying to know the whole story there.
I didn't see anything in his story in person, that lead me to believe there was anything more that he knew. I have a feeling it was a mistaken Identity situation or something.Quote: AxiomOfChoiceLemieux getting backed off in AC is putting ME on tilt. I am dying to know the whole story there.
Accidental account flag as a threat?

Oh I don't think that he is lying or intentionally leaving anything out. Mistaken identity would make sense (except, it was on the card, where they have his ratings). I just can't believe it was his play.
