Requirements :
- The game I've been learning is Hold'em. I've not played Omaha, stud or draw, even for play money.
- As a novice, I'm playing for very low stakes, 2c/4c level.
- I like fixed limit and pot limit games. I get wiped out on no limit.
- I like speed poker, that's where if you fold, you go straight to another table, new game starts in seconds.
- A good choice of table sizes, ie 2,6,8 or 10 players
I've tried a few and they match some, but not all of my wishes. So one has speed poker, but only 6-player NL games. Another has fixed limit games, but no speed poker. Another has 25c stakes, and so on.
Any recommendation?
Bovada has a poker room and the speed poker thing. The site is fast, I have done well there. check only takes a few days to come.Quote: PeterMorrisLooking for recommendations for an online poker room.

One thing people don't like is...... the players don't have a name. Unless you are using a poker tracker type of software or are targeting particular players nameless should help you more then it should hurt you. No name might add to easier collusion over all, however good colluding players probably have ways around this on all sites. I'm not talking about the speed poker games. I guess in the speed games, names would be something you want more .
Quote: beachbumbabsBovada has 5c/10c games all day long for all levels and table sizes. You have to download their software to play, but they're an ok site for malware, and honest brokers. Just click the link on the top of the Wiz's page. You can play there for free until you find a game you like.
I also can vouch for Bovada and good software. I have not played there a ton but I have had no trouble finding a game. The games aren't particularly tough (particularly lower blind levels). I think it is a good option.
