So I'm playing poker the other day and someone at my table has the high hand of the day with quad 8's ace kicker. He is in line to make $2500 if this hand holds up. He offers to sell stakes in his high hand for 4/1 odds. There was 45minutes remaining in the high hand time. There were also 12 tables of poker going on. You also must have 2 of the 5 cards in your hand and the hand has to go to a showdown. With a table having an average of let's say a hand every 3 minutes (or whatever you believe), 45 minutes, 12 total tables, needed quad 9's or better, and 2 whole cards. So wizard was it a good deal? What were the odds of his hand holding up?
