Casinos near where I live often offer spread-limit games. The limits are usually 2-8, 2-10, or 2-20, and can be as much as 2-100 or 2-200 on reservations. How do I play well in these games? Are they like limit or no-limit games? What adjustments should I make?

Are we talking about hold 'em or stud?
Spreads like 2-8, even 2-20 are usually found on stud games. I know from experience that bets lower than the maximum are pretty much only seen on third street, occasionally on fourth street if the pot's small; it's a rhythm not dissimilar to fixed-limit games. The idea is that it doesn't really make sense to jump from $5 to $15 when there are only ten dollars in the pot, so use your better judgment for where you think you're getting the best bang for your buck on third street. Once there's some money in the pot, though, just bet the max. I don't know of "true" spread limit being offered in hold 'em, but my guess would be it's about the same principle - consider the size of the pot pre-flop and on the flop if it's still small, then just bet the max when it fills out.
Spreads like 2-200 are typically intended to get around restrictions on no-limit. They're just no-limit - how often in a 1/2 game do you raise or open $200, anyway? The only caveat is that there'll usually be a cap, so you might be able to use that to your advantage once in a blue moon.
So basically, think of the smaller spreads as limit, the larger ones as no-limit. It can get a little blurry sometimes - I'd say that 2-20 game probably does see a wide range of bets, especially.

The trick to poker is learning not to beat yourself up for your mistakes too much, and certainly not too little, but just the right amount.

I played in South Dakota when the bet limit was $100. The best advice is that hold'em games of $25 or less play more like limit games where the 2-100 type games play like no limit. Stud games play like the above post where spread limit is more common outside of capped bet states.
What state(s) still have a $100 bet limit where reservations have $200 limit?

WA tribal casinos are required to cap at $500/street so our Hold'Em games are technically spread limit. Play it like no-limit.

I play in Hold'em games. The lower limits are seen off reservations while the higher limits are seen on reservations.
In the lower spread games (2-8 to 2-20), should I change what hands I would play and how I would play them from that in limit?

Not in 2-8, play that like limit. I suppose you would want to avoid more drawing hands in 2-20. You probably would want to fold hands that you might be tempted to play after several limpers like suited connectors below maybe 89. You for sure want to dump hands like KJ/KT/QJ etc unless you are in great position vs people who play anything.
