Promo thread

Often there are promotions which can be very advantageous for some players, but they may not hear of them. Or they may just be good to play for everyone. So I thought why not post promotions the way I and other have been posting recipes?

When possible, I'll link to the promo page, if there is one.

The JPG image is the best I could get. I'd suggest inquiring for details at the casino. And I should remind you Station casinos includes the Fiesta casinos and a few others without "station" in their name (but not Main Street Station, which is a Boyd property)

I know there are a few websites that aggregate the various special promotions but many seem to be the Swipe Your Player Card Drawings similar to my local Indian casino wherein there is one guy from the retirement home standing at the kiosk swiping everyone's card once each day.

so far ive won 100 drawing entries and 500 bonus points (50cents) in stations drawing.

Not a promo per se, I think, but yesterday I saw at the California a bank of 10/7 double Bonus machines (that's 100.1% return) at fifty cents ($2.50 per hand at max coin), which pay a 1,000 coin bonus if you hit a royal in hearts.

For the low roller, this may be a better deal than the 10/7 DB $1 progressive at 4 Queens. I may take a crack at it later today.

It is a good deal, and I think (but am not sure) that they give the full 0.1% (0.2/0.3% for Sapphire/Emerald) cashback for those machines. At MSS they have the same game by the valet, but cashback is almost nil.

Be careful, the variance at $.50 on DB is huge. But maybe that's what you're looking for...

So far in the Stations kiosk swipe thing, our two accounts have received over $200 combined. And that's with the value of a free night at Red Rock (resort fee included, I checked) at $80, which is pretty conservative (but since there's a room reservation promo for the same period at 50% off right now is probably about right). I'm counting free drawing tickets at $0.

So I learned...

I did take a longer look last Thursday. There's a whole bank of machines with 10/7 DB and the 1,000 coins bonus for a royal in hearts. About half are $0.50 and the other half are $1. Also Cal and Fremont are running some sort of cash drawing. I'm sorry but I didn't get a good look at the ad for that. It should be online, though.

Curious thing, in my last session at the Cal I hit so many two pair hands, that had I been playing 9/6 JoB I'd have wound up ahead rather than behind. But I'll post a bit more about VP play this go round elsewhere.

South Point is basically 2X points all through June in the form of $25 in points for a $50 gas card. Points must be earned in June to qualify. You can get up to 10 of them so the value stops at 83,340 points. They have not announced any 2X point days for June.

Most interesting promo was a few weeks ago at the Pioneer in Laughlin. I had $50 in X-Tra Credit on my slot card. I messed up and put it on my card when i only had a few hours before it expired. So I used it in slots instead of VP. Figured just to run it through quick. My wife found a gnome slot. She has a gnome thing. I found the manliest machine there. "Kitty Glitter". Put my X-Tra Credit in and noticed that when I won I got the winnings and when I lost I got the amount bet back. So my $50 ended up cashing out at $75. Did close to the same w my next nights X-Tra credit.

My local racino, Yonkers, sends out a $15 free play promo a month. My wife and I always end up cashing out for at least $10 best was almost $50. We never play slots there and only play the horses and they do not track the play on ponies.
