Barbut Demo

Recently I read about a simple game called Barbut. Some sources say its middle eastern, others says its Bulgarian, even others say it's a Greek game named Barbouti. Does anyone here know the true origin?
Regardless, it is really simple. Roll two dice until one side wins on 1-1, 2-2, 4-4, and 1-2 while the other wins on 3-3, 5-5, 6-6, and 6-5. 1-1 and 6-6 pay 1:2 which is where the house edge comes from.
