3 numbers will be chosen from 16 numbers(1 to 16), as winning combination. Each ticket sold has six numbers(choose from 1 to 16) on it. Any three numbers(from the ticket) matching a winning combination will be considered a win.
1) What is the minimum number of tickets required to guarantee a win?
2) What are those tickets(with 6 numbers combination) ?
I heard that player only need to purchase 38 tickets to be guaranteed to win, and they can be found through brute force.
All tickets you purchase should cover 560(16C3) combinations.
