Here is the latest Internet casino game I've discovered -- 7-7-7 Dice. It is mostly a simple game betting on the total of two dice. However, there is a bonus round for rolling a seven. Roll two more in the next two throws and you get a bonus of 30x your bet, regardless of what you bet on.

The math on this was very easy so I welcome the amateur mathematicians to see if you can work it out yourself.

As usual, I welcome all questions, comments, and especially corrections.

The question for the poll is would you play 777 Dice?

Is there a "try me"site?

Do the bets pay "for" or "to"? i.e., is the original bet returned?

Yes, sorry, here is a link to play for free: https://www.globallivecasino.com/en/games/table-games/. Lots of other unusual games at this Internet casino. None of them seem to come with any rules.

Wins are on a "for one" basis.

the famous claim was 18 yo's in a row, not 11 btw

It occurs to me that all casinos should offer fair odds on rolling 18 yo's. Why be bothered with the math of a house edge? ... there's that sign limiting how much you win should the near impossible happen.

Yes, how could I forget. The odds of rolling an 11 are conveniently 1 in 18 as well.

I'm sure you're just joking. I think there is a state law that the maximum win has to be equal or higher than the natural win at the table minimum.

You're right. The math is easy. VERY easy.

I found out just how easy when I needed to do math to figure out a couple things that your text left vague.

1 - Rolling a seven without following it with two more sevens loses for all bets except the any seven. I thought that maybe a seven (or two sevens) followed by something else will still be a win for that something else. Of course I didn't expect it to, and the math proves it.

2 - I would have thought they'd label the 777 bet with the total 210 payout since that is a specific, three roll bet. Or at least label it that way to avoid ambiguity. But you're right. Even though it's labeled 180, it pays (or SHOULD pay) 210, and has the same edge as every other bet. If it only paid 180, the edge is huge.

3 - Don't most articles include advice, suggesting the bet with the lowest edge? I realize they all have the same edge, but you should say so in a summary/advice paragraph.

4 - Typo in your rules point 3: "... the player will the dice again." That should be "... the player will roll the dice again."

I'll pass, but I can see people who are intimidated by craps trying this.

In a live casino setting, there's too many bets for a single roll, to work on a regular craps type table. I could see it working on a Chuck-a-Luck / Sic-Bo type table, with dice in a tumbler, etc. But then there might be a game protection issue during the re-roll after a seven.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

Well I'd like to try the demo out... but their site won't let me. I have flash, I have it installed, and I even updated my settings to "always run" and not even ask for a prompt. Have restarted the browser after, and re-downloaded flash as well... Still won't load the game stating that I need Adobe Flash even though I had it, allowed it, redownload/installed it, and re-enabled it. Oh, and I tried on multiple browsers.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
