If you're the best player IN THE WORLD, you're playing to get 99%. Having to get this skill by playing sub-optimally and improving to get there to the optimal stage, seems too greedy. To the victor should go the spoils, and not to the victor, he should have stayed in bed. It's not skill more than changing the channels is skill and I'm never going to get it.
Tough to imagine these games not getting stupid really fast like beating video games or getting sick of the video games which were unbeatable.

Sounds like they did a good job with the Zombie game in that it seems like it changes everytime and will be hard to master. I wonder how much of the return will be based off of random bonus payments? And how often does the game evaluate play to ensure minimum holds are being met? Or with the bonus payments will it be impossible to drop below the minimum?

I do see the younger crowd going nuts playing this while drinking before hitting the clubs.

As for Ahigh, I'll bet no casino or manufacturers will be dumb enough to market this as an "AP" game but instead as a skill based game with the details in screens no one looks at.

Assuming under 100%, let's say up to 99%. Obviously the biggest most important question for people who look for value or the AP's will be.... How do/will they rate the machines? Will they be rated normally on the average payback? Will they be rated on a player's individual skill? Will they just rate them horrible off the top while touting higher paybacks? Will each session be rated different and give you an average rating based on that? Will all of the above options be available? If so can it easily be implemented in older slot card systems like Plaza. That's some questions I would be asking at the show.

It's possible there's going to be a shift in new Advantage Play leaving many out in the cold. Perhaps the early birds will get all the worms.

It should be fun and exciting experimenting and investigating.

Reading about these skill based casino games reminds me of the old arcade game Dragon's Lair (and Space Ace).

They actually have a DL slot theme with a few different versions out.

I liked the game but after a while it was just a series of combinations with nothing more to it. Joystick Left now(at the flash.) etc etc.

Thanks, I never knew DL was made into a slot. Do you know of any to play in Vegas?

I haven't really looked in vegas because there's no real reason for me to play them I just remember seeing them while traveling. I watched someone play for a while and moved on. It did look fun.

You can download Into The Dead now and start getting good at it.

After that, I guess it's finding a machine with a weak but active player pool would be the key. But it says they have a ton of dowloads, so other people are also getting good.

I have a thought wondering first if such a game is fun or stressful. Also wonder how much it costs to play per hour upfront. They say the game will return 92-93% for most iirc. Most video slots don't, so won't people who normally play slots, start playing these if they think they're a better deal and totally ruin the purpose, getting younger people to play. Cannibalism of the slot floor essentially.

Correction 90-92%, so better or the same as slots, worse than video poker, tables, everything else.

I think that might be the best case scenario. If some slot players jump in and get 80% back because they stink, but have fun doing it, then the skill players have a chance to make money.

I think most slot players prefer passive games though. Like people who play FB games vs. people who prefer Call of Duty or whatever.

I will again say you would have to learn who skill based the actual game is. My concern is this random bonus payoff will factor into the return enough to ensure casinos that there is no downside with the game and 99% is really not a possibility even if only "experts" lock the game up 24/7. Sure that doesn't make sense, but casinos don't always think that way, they only look at what could be a worse case scenario. We all know how paranoid they can be on being exploited and most of us thought that was one of the reasons Ahigh's game didn't draw much interest from casinos.

I'm not sure why they even needed a skill base game to implement this type of game. I thought they should do this many years ago. Just have random values of zombies or whatever pop out. Even if you shoot or kill nothing you have a default 75%.

The last time I stayed in Las Vegas we took the room offer from Harrah's for a slot tournament – it was a really bad tournament I mean your chance of winning anything substantial were next to nothing and the average payout per entry was maybe five dollars at most and they had two minute rounds

But I was sitting there playing and I had no idea how it worked and to get full credit I had to like punch these diamonds that showed up on the screen – at first I wasn't doing it because I didn't understand it and so I had a bad score. I never play slot machines so this was new to me.

Casino is sure on a transformation mode. They are adding more kinds of games in casino lately. They are innovating to attract more and more players to play with them.
