Hi all,

Pairs Plus (irrespective of Dealer’s hand) Pays
Straight Flush wins 40 to 1
Three-of-a-Kind wins 30 to 1
Straight wins 5 to 1
Flush wins 4 to 1
Pair wins 1 to 1

Ante Bonuses (irrespective of Dealer’s hand) Pays
Straight Flush wins 5 to 1
Three-of-a-Kind wins 4 to 1
Straight wins 1 to 1

Ante and Play Wagers Pay Table
Pays
Ante wagers 1 to 1
Play wagers 1 to 1

Progressive Jackpot Pay Table
Bets/Rules Pays Envy Bonus
Royal Flush - Spades 100 % of Progressive Jackpot $500 (Take it as $320,000 for example)
Royal Flush – Hearts/Clubs/Diamonds 25 % of Progressive Jackpot $250
Straight Flush $1,250
Four of a Kind $250
Full House $50
Flush $25

The above information i just listed out above is from the local casino i am at.

I understand that the optimal strategy is to just put the ante and play with a hand of queen/6/4 or greater, regardless of the bonus pay table. Judging from the progressive jackpot payout table is it advisable for me to consistently put in a bet amt of $2.50 in every bet i play so as to cover myself in the event i actually strike 1 of the combinations or is it just a waste of money? Using the optimal strategy assuming that i play with a bankroll of $2500 with every ante bet at $25 what are the odds of me actually winning money from the casino?

Thanks everybody!

This may not be the answer you are looking for and I apologize for that in advance.

Rather take your bankroll and play a game with a smaller H/A and one you can actually even get a situation where you have a +EV situation.
3CP has a H/A of 3.37% on the Ante bet (per hand). Unless you are planning to hole card the game or perhaps edge sort the bad boy, I would again suggest another game.

Perhaps look at BJ and play basic which, depending on the game could lower your H/A to about 0.40%.

As for the progressive the pay offs (if correct) are low too. Usually the top award starts at $1000 and the other royal will pay 10% of progressive.

Then I have to ask....how do you get a four of a kind or full house at 3 card poker?

Thanks

EDIT: Unless you are playing that crazy game where the dealers 3 cards and your own 3 cards combine to make a 5 card hand??

oh four of a kind or full house is comparing player's 3 cards and including the dealer's 3 cards that is what the progressive jackpot is about. So the best combination out of the 6 cards is paid out accordingly.

So are u referring that 3CP house edge is too high and i should look for other games? What other games do u suggest?

cheezers,

A similar progressive Harrah's is running requires that you play all 3 bets (ante, pairs plus, 6 card) to be eligible for the jackpot. Does this game have a similar requirement?
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

The 6 card poker side bet on 3CP at CET properties has a HA of 15% and its a $5 bet! I can only imagine how terrible the progressive version is.

beachbumbabs,

no this game does not have that requirement. As long as u have a bet on the ante, you can also place a bet on the jackpot bonus slot.

I would be curious to see which paytable they're using because there is 4 different paytables for 6cb and 84.7% payback would be the lowest payback 93.2 being the highest? 15% is too high looks more like 14 at the very highest!:)

100-84.7=15.3. Isn't 15.3% the very highest?
