I've noticed that many, if not all, online casinos will ban anyone caught using a "robot" to gamble. But I'm having trouble understanding what is implicated in the method. Will any of you enlighten me? Thank you in advance.

1) Online poker. By playing a tight textbook game, bots can break even or turn a small gain at microstakes. This is used to "run through" the usual +100% deposit bonus and pull it out. When caught, funds are universally seized.
2) Video poker. While 100% return is unlikely online, casinos have the same +100% bonuses or even more, and playing perfect VP can be an effective way to run through the bonus and cash out.
3) Real dealer or otherwise non-CSM blackjack. Measures are usually in place to zero the gain from human counting, but a robot may have an edge, or at least play close enough to cash out the bonus.
4) Just because.
