Proponents of legalized online gambling say the business of legal online state lotteries could provide new sources of revenue for state coffers. But others, including large casino interests that prefer a national system limited to online poker, say that the free-flowing nature of the Internet is ill-suited for state gambling plans, which would attempt to limit online gambling to within a given state's borders.

I find this quite interesting as one of the more expensive operations to run (a poker table) is being pushed.
1.) Abosolutely non-competetive/monopolistic, since 21, PGP, 3CP, Slots, Bacc, etc are off the table.
2.) Low-stakes gaming is the new frontier $1 or $2 table min.s can be handled well On-line.
3.) I would submit that the Houses of Gaming demonstrate by providing electronic versions of table games that seat more than one Customer, as in B&M establishments. Poker can do this, and has been that way since 1997. Multi-Customer table-gaming is the 2nd frontier.
4.) Who ever incorporates low-stakes with Multi-Customer at table-gaming on-line WINS big. Think of it as Social gaming.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
