About 2-3 months ago they cut off deposits from their American customers. Will the new Bovada talk deposits from American customers like the old Bodog did?

Maybe it's a play on the name "Nevada"...maybe they expect to get licensed there?

Oh. Duh. That makes sense.

Poking around in free play mode, I see they offer a single-deck blackjack game with the following rules:

- Single deck (obviously)
- Blackjack pays 3 to 2
- Dealer peeks for blackjack
- Dealer hits soft 17
- Double on any 2 cards
- Split once to make 2 hands
- Double after split allowed
- 1 card to split aces
- $25 minimum bet

House edge with optimal strategy is only 0.0375%. That's closer to a mathematically fair game than Full-Pay Pick 'em Poker.

And their single-hand Joker Poker returns 100.0459%.

Hi All - Bovada Customer Service here!

To start, we just wanted to reassure you that if you have any account specific questions or concerns, the Bovada.LV Customer Service team is available to help you out at 1-888-263-0000 or service@bovada.lv.

A couple quick responses to some of the comments in this thread:

The big change is really just the move of US players and a few smaller countries to a new brand name. Previously Morris Mohawk Gaming Group licensed the use of the Bodog Brand to operate and instead, but we will now operate under the Bovada Brand name. We are offering the same great service, products, deposit methods and overall gaming experience that were previously offered by Bodog.eu. All account information and funds have been transferred to Bovada and are 100% safe.

As for Bovada.LV as a name choice, we want to build a unique, strong brand. Bovada is a name we can make into whatever we want. As well, the fact it starts with 釘-O should help you find us in your browser for the first few weeks.

Bovada is too close to bovine for me.

My only complaint about bocow was that I bought in for $100 hit a $1,400 jackpot but you can't cash out till you hit $3,000 in your account and with a casino's edge you'll never get out alive! Reflecting on it I should have just deposited enough to cover the minimum and then cashed out.

Ya, like that "No-house edge" stuff at those places which offer it means nothing when you have to pay an overall percentage inversely-based on amount wagered. Better off w/o the "deal"!
Why bet at all, if you can be sure? Anyway, what constitutes a "good bet"? - The best slots-game in town; a sucker's edge; or some gray-area blackjack-stunts? (P.S. God doesn't even have to exist to be God.)

I for one am excited by this. Let's hope that this new site is just as good as Bodog.

Well, now that we see the new banners, we get confirmation that "Bovada" is a combination of Bodog and Nevada.

But it seems we're not in Kansas Nevada anymore.
Although that's clearly the Las Vegas skyline, where do you see so much grass in the desert?

And I suppose the Wiz is gonna be able to add this cool license plate to his collection soon...

Mike - Did you apply for a "Bovada" plate yet?
