This is a question for anyone who has experience online.

Perhaps its a fluke but my experience tells me that at some online casinos once the betting gets higher than about $25 per play the % of losses start to increase. I have noticed this over and over and over again at some casinos especially BODOG. I believe they have their software rigged to accomplish this. I can't think of any other reason for it happening continuously. Perhaps BODOG IS NOT THE SAINT THE WIZARD BELIEVES THEM TO BE.

Do you have any better statistical evidence than "over and over"?

Yes I do have evidence based on two years of playing craps there.
Whether two years of playing daily there is valid from a statistics I do not know. My play thru on average has been roughly 500 per day. I only play craps so it's easy to track what happens when you bet 5 vs 25 over a two year period. For IRS purposes I keep very detailed records. I play wrong and win roughly 58% of the time over that time period when betting 5. I win 30% of the time if playing 25 or more. I alternate my play between 5 and 25. Give it a try and see what happens to you and let us know what u think.

I hate to be a smarta$$ but if I found a way to wager consistently over 2 years and win 58% of the time I would quit my job ... and hold my tongue! Perhaps that was a typo?

^^ Exactly what I was thinking. If this 58 percent win rate on certain sized bets was actually the case the OP should be filthy rich and sharing his secret with no one to avoid detection by the casino.

Conversely, if an online casino as large as Bodog was truly altering the game of craps to have only a 30 percent win rate on the don't, this would have been exposed many, many times by countless players.

If the win rate is truly so poor a test can very easily be set up to see if the software is flawed. But of course the results would be very different than what the OP is now suggesting, simply because I am sure there is no cheating going on.

Giving ZU the benefit of the doubt about his post, my thought is that the 58% and 30% represent the frequency of winning sessions, not of invidual wins. In this case there is a natural bias, since the length of a session is not a fixed value. For example, ZU may more likely quit quickly after an initial loss on $25 sessions. However, it would explain the results in a more normal way. Zipped up could be a net loser and still win 58% of his $5 sessions.

I doubt ZU has the needed data, that is, log files of each and every roll over each denomination of wager for a statistically significant number of rolls. Therefore he needs to formulate a hypothesis that can be tested going forward. I suggest he do this. That he record some number of thousand rolls at each of the $5 and $25 levels and then present this data. Or perhaps he can contact Bodog and request his log files. I am sure either way, he can generate data that allows a reasonable statistical conclusion to be drawn about his hypothesis.

Perhaps I used the wrong terms or something regarding the 58%. Check me out on this OK.
Craps is pretty much a 50% win 50% lose game or about as close to 5o/50 as you can get to 50/50 in casino games. European Roulette is a 48.6% win if betting red vs black or odd vs even. So why would 58% seem too rich to you when playing craps? For every 100 I bet I win 58 and lose 42--net gain of 16. Why on earth would I ever gamble if I couldn't win at some rate like that? Of course I have big lose days and big win days but that's part of gambling. What have I missed here?

I suggest both of you go to BODOG and try it on either roulette or craps. Bet 5 for an hour then 100 for an hour and see what happens

your bankroll would be at $116 for every twenty $5 bets, on average? The rolls are fast online so surely you could get something like 100 bets in every hour at a minimum, and be earning $80 an hour at home. A lot of us consider that pretty decent money these days.

I think all you are doing is convincing everybody your statistics are faulty.

So the definition of gambling is that you should be able to win at a huge rate? Anything less is cheating?

I don't think so.

You had a chance to make sense and you've blown it. Your credibility, of which I was willing to give you at least a chance to redeem, is now zero.

I really didn't mean to get people upset with my post. Sorry about that. I guess I have been lucky and didn't even realize it. Thanks for your feedback. One more thing. This is not life and death stuff here folks! I see no reason for some people to get so "pissy pants" about what I was saying. I do keep accurate records and the 58% is accurate. Pehaps blind luck. Let's consider this case closed OK. At age 65 I like to concentrate on the positives. And I will take my winning streak as a positive. But I am going to keep going for as long as it lasts.

The 58% is calculated by taking total $wins each day divided by total $ wins and losses for the day. Example Todays wins 565 losses 255......... 565/820=68.6% Are we possibly talking apples and oranges?

Explain please if I have the numbers wrong.

Don't count your wins versus losses, by day -- those results are just variance and are essentially meaningless.

You must give the *exact* sequence of dice results for each wager size, in sequence. That is, keep track of the two faces showing for each of the two dice and the wager accompanying that roll, and keep track in sequence for the duration of your play. Short of that, recording the total of each roll and associated wager would do as well, but it is not as precise. That's really the only way to tell.

Note: I've seen you have edited your post in the time I wrote this. Wizard, edit lock?

thanks dorthy
My current post shows the outcome of my craps playing today and I am less concerned with the bodog issue than the issue folks brought up about 58% win rate being high. I showed my full activity for today and it came out 68% for the day. I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page regarding how I did my calculations.
I have solved the bodog issue by replacing bodog with a new casino. I just don't have the time to keep track of the things you mentioned in your last post. Easier just to find a new casino.
Thanks and Happy Holidays
