Quote:Speed Blackjack is our fastest Blackjack yet. Speed Blackjack follows traditional blackjack rules, but with one key difference -- the dealing order depends on the speed with which players make decisions.
Upon completion of the initial deal, all players simultaneously are offered the chance to have further cards dealt to their hand. The player who makes the quickest decision to hit, double down, or split a pair will have their next card dealt first, regardless of their seat at the table.
Players who make the fastest decisions are always first in line.
Take Blackjack into your own hands and sprint on Speed Blackjack!
I played speed blackjack recently at a different online casino than the one that had this promo. (I do not want to say which casino.) Speed Blackjack exists and is spreading for online live dealer. The dealer has a monitor which tells him/her which player and action is next in line based on whose action hit their server first. I was always first, but I still had to wait just as long to play a round. It is nice though to be able to finish all my action ASAP and go back to reading WoV until the next hand!
If the table is full of APs tracking the shuffle somehow, then card steering to a specific spot is very simple. I am not interested in this for myself. If APs want me to take this post down, I will edit it.
I don't play that much BJ and I am prone to mistakes when playing quickly. I was playing one hand of $1000 BJ for a loss rebate on a live-dealer game. I got 99 vs 2 and split. The first hand came up with a total of 18. I quickly hit the hold button before I realized it was another splitable hand. Split hands are much smaller on the screen and it was hard for me to see the card faces. The second hand took a deuce for a total of 11. I doubled and got an ace. The dealer had a T in the whole and drew a face card for a bust. I collected $6K and left the table. It is interesting to think what would have happened if I had not screwed up the play of the hand.Quote: ChumpChangeThis obliterates third base stealing the dealer's bust card.

You only get an advantage by seeing more cards before your play, and then it is quite small and you can just sit at third base to get the same small edge in playing decisions.Quote: charliepatrickIt would seem that if you have an obvious move then you should make it, otherwise (e.g. 16v10, 12v4 etc.) sit back and wait for the others to finish then make your decision. I'm not sure this adds very much advantage but at a live table it would raise some conversation material. One nice thing is if you had 16v7 then you can just take a card (it's rare to want to stand).

In the OP, I am talking about ace steering, etc.
It would probably take less than 15 minutes before someone throws a tantrum over getting a 4 to their 10 because the dealer gave the other player the ace even though they definitely were first to ask for another card...
In live, you would absolutely have to have jeopardy buzzers. Player would still complain. You took their card even if you did it fair and square.Quote: MukkeI can't imagine this being implemented in a live (not online) environment.

There is audio with some online live dealer. You can complain to the dealer, but you cannot hear other players complaining. I have only played a few hands and I did not see away to exploit Speed BJ. In some games the cards are shuffled in front of you. In Speed BJ I saw another dealer bring a shoe that was shuffled out of view.
