The first thing that we have to look at is say we pick an animal, I'm going to go with the rooster, because some people say I'm cocky, so we want anywhere from one to three roosters. The probability of a die not being a rooster is 5/6, so let's start there:

Okay, with that, let's take a look at the three ways we could match one fish:

(1/6 * 5/6 * 5/6) + (5/6 * 1/6 * 5/6) + (5/6 * 5/6 * 1/6) = 0.34722222222

Okay, let's look at two fish:

((1/6 * 1/6 * 5/6) + (5/6 * 1/6 * 1/6) + (1/6 * 5/6 * 1/6)) *2 = .13888888888

Finally, three roosters:

(1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6) * 3 = 0.01388888888

And, combine:

0.01388888888+.13888888888+0.34722222222-0.5787037037 = -0.07870370372

7.87% on picking a symbol, good call!

Next, we have to take a look at the any triple, which is very simple. The first symbol literally doesn't matter, then the next two have to match:

(6/6 * 1/6 * 1/6) * 30 = 0.83333333333

(1-(6/6 * 1/6 * 1/6)) = 0.97222222222

0.833333333 - .9722222222 = -0.1388888892

House Edge of 13.89%, you win again! Unless you play this game, of course.

Thank you Mission146. I was at least (1-(6/6 * 1/6 * 1/6)) sure I was right. Hard to believe that this is one of the most popular games up there. People love wasting money on anything as long as it has a nice design.
