Is there a post that someone can guide me to which answers these and similar questions? I hope it's okay to ask these question without having to read through tons of posts to find the answers.
live BJ or Video BJ?Quote: GreasyjohnI'm curious about some basics. Do you find a site you like, wire them $2,000 and then start playing blackjack for $50 a hand? Then if you win you get a check in the mail in ten days? And if you lose it's taken out of your $2,000? Can you play blackjack for $500 a hand? What are the limits? Does Bovada still have a stellar reputation? What are the upper wagering limits in online gambling? Is it currently illegal in the USA?

Online casinos have various deposit methods including wire transfer each one is different.
BV does have a good reputation still, they will send a check within 7 to 10 days.
Most do have do $500 or more betting limits.
The legality for playing at a non US licensed casino is kind of unclear.

When you say live BJ what do you mean? You're in a web site, how can it be live? Is it some sort of Skype feed or something? What was that site that kept millions of dollars of players money? Ultimate Bet? Poker Stars was another site where players lost a lot too as I recall. I wonder how much greater the percentage of people is that have lost everything to gambling with the rise in online gaming?

yes a live feed.
Yes when playing online there is always a risk of not getting paid even with a so called reputable place. You have to figure out the risk vs reward.
I wouldn't play anything marginal online.
You think a wheel is gaffed in Vegas you can go to the Gaming Board and they will be on the spot in twenty minutes. You think a wheel is gaffed in cyberspace and I assure Ghostbusters ain't never gonna show up.
Everybody and his brother in law offers bonuses and the term will be meaningless.
Fees, slow pays, no pays... Ghostbuster's ain't gonna help.
If you make a deposit and take the double bonus, you need to circulate (play) that money couple times before you can withdraw the profits. My opinion is that it would be smarter not to take these extra bonuses in deposit.
Otherwise at least this casino has obeyed the rules and paid the profits in time.
For me playin is more fun pourpose than wishing of becoming a rich man by this way ; )

Yes you can play $50 or $500 a hand. You can also play $1 a hand and still get excellent rules. Where can you do that land-based ?
Depending on the methods, deposits can take half a minute from your bank account, but you can also wire directly for a few days waiting time. Withdraws usually take the same amount of time. I've seen half an hour to 7 days.
Most of the time it takes to wait until an account manager has time to approve the transaction.
Quote: JabberwockyBut is it like money check in your mail or to be gathered in person or money on your bank account? I am very curious about it and I would like to try some online gambling. Not that I would expect myself to win, hehe, but it's nice to know the options :)
All of the above.
You can pick up the money in person, or have them mail you a check, or deposit it in your account. Whatever you prefer.
Personally I always pick it up in person because I don't trust the mail and it's faster than a deposit since I live 15mins from the online casino I play at.
I agree however setting up an initial BC can be a pain in the ass.Quote: cmc0605You can also gamble with bitcoin for far more efficient deposits/withdraws and usually a more flexible spread in money that you can wager on a given hand (relative to table max). I've seen minimums of a micro-btc with table maxes of 25 btc. Most people don't know about bitcoin or bitcoin casinos, but good ones are out there.
Also your BC value could drop in value. IE buy 1 bit coin for $220 today deposit in the casino receive $220 in chips , play a few hrs and break even, cash out your chips back into bit coins that are now only worth $150. I guess they could go up to $300 if you got lucky.
Obviously there's bonuses that might be wort while. I seen a sports book that offered a bonus on BC buy in's @ double your BC ($300 profit lock up) you could bet both sides of each game.
