So, please have a look at my updated Microgaming review. This is perhaps the longest single page I have ever written. I've been working on it off and on for about three weeks.
As always, I welcome all comments, questions, and corrections.
Yes, I realize that there are probably only 20 actual "engines". Even so - if faced with the requirement to make a choice from such a huge array of options, I would either exit the arena, or my brain would explode.

Check out DragonPlay's (Android) "Slot City." They currently have about 5 math models and about 60 slots. People love them their skins.Quote: binary128302 slots? Seriously? THREE HUNDRED and TWO slots!!!

At the moment anyway I just can't conceive of deploying more than 30 or so slots. If we can get away with it, I'd like to have 30 "themes" and 30 "engines". If a "theme" is tanking, then change it. If an "engine" isn't working, then change it.
As I said, I'm kind of anal about that. It may prove to be impractical - "voice of the customer" and all that.

Yep. And that is just the Flash casino. Chances are they have a lot fewer actual designs and re-skin them.
Graphical designers are much cheaper than mathematicians.Quote: binary128I confess that I'm kind of anal about that. We currently have 15 slots - 12 deployed, and 3 in the pipe. And for those 15 slots, we have 15 math models.

And far, far more plentiful, on the order of many orders of magnitude. The last major gaming effort I was part of had dozens of in-house artists plus contracts with several outsourced art shops. But I was the sole mathematician.
Word of that has gotten around, apparently, and I'm currently in talks to do it again.
