This is a pdf about player club "fraud" as they call it i guess...

In light of the recent thread about players club fun, i decided to google "casino players club card scams"

and this was the second result ... i ususally stray away from funny looking urls, but this one was too good to pass up

Those all seem to be employee related thefts. Not at all the same thing.

I agree it is mostly employees, but some were working with gamblers as it says

An employee working with one person or a thousand people is still insider theft. I've had a pit boss give me extra ratings( a letter to his boss complimenting the guy often does wonders) but that's a far cry from someone loading hundreds of dollars on to a card and expecting to get a kickback. That is theft and is illegal.
Not the same thing.

None of which means what you do is legal in every jurisdiction.

I see employee theft every week and a lot of it revolves around the player tracking system.

BTW, I do not believe what DarkOz is doing is against the law in most jurisdictions. It is probably against casino player club policy, but that is way different than being illegal.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

It is a GREY area. But the casino is not going to pursue it in courts.

I make certain what I do is legal

Every jurisdiction I am in its legal

If the argument is it might be illegal somewhere else then thats a jurisdiction I wouldn't hit. I try to stay on the right side of the law.

For example:

Smoking marijuana is legal now in some jurisdictions and not in others. Saying you smoke pot in Colorado its pointless to argue that its illegal in NY. At least until the person decides to smoke it in NY

It is actually not a grey area

Most jurisdictions have laws against using other people's "access devices" i.e. credit cards, casino cards or any device that gives you access to another persons account

I have not seen one access device law that did not SPECIFY it was when use was without permission of the card beneficiary.

Otherwise if you gave your wife your credit card to make a purchase she could be indicted for credit card fraud.

The law is pretty cut and dried. Nothing grey under the law.

never meant to imply anything you were doing was illegal. as i have already tried doing it but i didnt know enough people and only had one casino to test it on. the people who used the cards wanted to use them and didnt want to give up their hard earned stuff.

to me its simple. their is one goal. convert whatever is on the card into cash. and whatever ways you can set that up thats where the legalities might come into play depending on the type of person you are.

personally i dont care what "type" of person anyone else besides myself is. i think this card thing needs to be looked at in all ways not necessarily by myself but for the curious.

I understand

The methods I use to get offers are completely legal as well. No employee collusion or uploading manipulating

Good thread, I’ve written about a few of these in various News & Notes as they’ve come up.

As far as DarkOz or any Forum Member that I know of is concerned, this is NOT what they are talking about. I can also assure you nobody doing anything anywhere along these lines would even HINT at it publicly, unless incredibly stupid. People on the inside, manipulating the system directly in one way or another...not only is that NOT AP, it’s not even gambling. It’s just straight fraud and theft.
