I'll also be the guest next week to discuss the 2014 Global Gaming Expo, mainly the new games.

I was wondering what show you were going to be on when Romes mentioned in his TR that you had to run to a show. I will give it a listen when I get home. It has not been the same since Bob and Frank were hosting it.
Quote: Yo11Nice job on the show, Wiz. I think you could have publicly thanked JB for all his contributions, but you came across as gracious and humble nonetheless.
I hoped I expressed how important his role behind the scenes is. However, you're right, I should have thanked him on the air.
I never really knew what the story was with the Cypress thing. I guess I missed that thread. But now that I know the story it makes a lot of sense.
I doubt JB is upset that he wasn't mentioned.
Bottom line it was a good show, and you should be a guest, or a guest host, more often. 👍

Thank you for the kind words.
As mentioned, I'll guest host again next week, to talk about G2E. Bob said they are running thin on guests so maybe I'll be on more frequently in the future.
like Panama. At the time, I couldn't figure out
why you'd go to these places without a reason,
now I get it. That's so weird about not being
able to open bank accounts if you're American.
Do they just assume only criminals want to do
that, or what.
Excellent show, do you think there's any potential for making GWAE a three-host show if you'd have the time to do that? If I'm not mistaken, you've co-hosted with both Dancer and Munchkin before, but the three of you seem to bounce off of one another quite well and the three of you as hosts (combined) would pretty well cover the full gamut of advantage play.
The one thing I may have not necessarily appreciated was Dancer's take on the donations thing calling it, "Not really cool," or otherwise making it sound like you were begging, or something along those lines. We all know what this site and WoO has done for any number of gamblers out there, some who you will meet or know of on here and most who you will not, so I see a HUGE difference in making a reasoned request for a token of appreciation rather than some guy sitting on the side of the road (or whatever) who has never done anything for me asking for money. I perceived your use of, "Tin cup," as being more facetious than anything, trying to make a little light of the situation, but it seems that Dancer took your use of the term literally, or something.
It might have been a good time to ask Dancer how that continental breakfast he ate (but didn't pay for) was last year if he wants to essentially compare you to a beggar.
(Note: I know you and Dancer are friends, and he is undoubtedly a brilliant man and gambler, so I don't necessarily mean him any disrespect)

+1. I thought Bob was kind of rude to you, perhaps on purpose, in pre-empting your discussion. And I think he mischaracterized how things actually occurred, in a negative way. I think you did a fair job of correcting the record, but geez...
Bob likes to ask the tough questions and phrase things in a provocative way sometimes. I'm sure he would argue it makes for more entertaining radio.
Regarding the last show, it was the toughest topic I've ever had on the show, but I felt I owed it to my audience to be open about it.

I don't know why you feel this way, Mike. You started and ran a business, worked hard to build the value in that business and then sold it for a nice profit. Business decision. Your decision. End of story.
And by the way, this particular unique business, has benefited so many folks in the gambling community, myself included. From professional AP's to players just wanting to learn to gamble 'smarter' have benefited from all your work. As a professional blackjack player, your efforts on the WoO site has been just invaluable to me. So much information provided in one convenient place. Much greater than a book. Having access to WoO is like having access to your brain and mind.
As for the WoV site and board, that too is unique. Personally, I started visiting hoping to benefit by things mentions (tidbits like opportunities) as well as learn from the blackjack related discussions, but ended up participating in much more than just blackjack discussions. As a matter of fact, I participated more on this site than the other 3 or 4 sites I visit regularly combined.....far more.....probably far too much. Lol.
This WoV site is also very unique as there are a significant group that participates VERY regularly, that I suspect, you have grown close to (more than the regular business model)....almost like family, as you have shared many personal things like the passing of your father. So with that family-like relationship in mind, you have explained your decision, more than was necessary, along with your participation plan going forward. Not only have you explained more than necessary, but others that worked with you, have also done so (with or without your blessing). You own us nothing further and you owe the radio audience (fringe community) nothing as well.
Again, I will say "Job well done". Stop feeling guilty.

What he said. Especially the above. Be well and rejoice in your validation.
Are you nuts? That's the last thing we need. there will be nothing left.Quote: Mission146the three of you as hosts (combined) would pretty well cover the full gamut of advantage play.
Hopefully there's plenty of online casino type projects to help him amass his fortune. I suspect he might spend more time playing now.

On the show he said he went there to
try and open a bank account, which
you can only do in person. No dice.
