Here goes; These are the promotions I'm planning to take advantage of.
Casino Plaza has a 100$ loss rebate; http://www.plazahotelcasino.com/casino/royal_rewards_players_club
Tropicana Casino has a 200$ loss rebate; http://www.plazahotelcasino.com/casino/royal_rewards_players_club
The D Las Vegas Casino has a 1.6% player edge for their Loose Deuces Wild video poker game. Apparanetly you can't bet more than a 25cents (it has a 5cent denomination only) but with only a 1000$ limit, it's perfect. Video Poker usually has a <95% return rate in the short term, so higher denominations would likely leed to going over budget.
My girlfriend and I also signed up for some deal where we'd get free hotel stay at the Venetian and 400$ of free slot play after we made a 250$ deposit (which we'd get entirelly back on our return to LA). However we're also required to go on a tour of a different hotel on our next LA visit. I assume I'm probably gonna be hustled to buy time-shares or something as the offer sounds a little to good to be true (who would give 400$ free slot play and free hotel stay right???), but anyways......
Could the above be any better?
Quote: JamixFYI; I'm sure some of you can churn out much bigger profits than this via being AP or cheaters. i.e whole-card reading/card-counting/edge sorting......
I'll be damned if I'm going to play a card game and not look at the whole card.

You must live in Vegas and know where the easiest dealers and Ace shufflers are located then! Can I pm you?
There is literally 1 101.6% return loose deuces machine at the D. I wouldn't plan on having access to that machine.
Quote: DRichI believe I read that the $400 free play is not at one casino but offers of $10 to $20 at 20 plus casinos that you must visit and sign up for. Find out all of the details before you go.
The 400$ is specifically for Casino Royal in this case. Maybe your referring to the coupon book from American Casino Guide???
Quote: IbeatyouracesThere's a slight difference between whole card and hole card. But it is nice to get the whole hole card :-P
Oops :(
Quote: rdw4potusDoesn't the Cosmo also have a loss rebate? There are lots of coupons in the American Casino Guide and Las vegas Advisor publications, making them easily worth their cost.

I feel like complaining to Jean Scott about this, because there is nothing else over 1% :(
The next best vp machine in LA is Downtown Deuces (100.92). None of these other vp machines can be used to construct a 1%+ player edge because the club points rewards card for every one of the casinos that employ these games only offer 0.025% on 100%+ vp machines.

Uh-oh :(
Last I saw, Casino Royale's free play was on special machines only. Actual value is probably near zero.
But I hope I'm wrong.

Ahhh crap, I figured it was something like this. They told me 400$ of free play on slot machines, but now I'm worred :( .....Oh well, still an "okay" deal for three free nights at the Venetian (I'll get my 250$ deposit back when I get there).

Venetian is by all accounts a great place to stay, so I don't think you'll be disappointed there.
Here's a mention of the situation at Casino Royale:

But I haven't heard anything recently.

Sadly, not anymore. I am afraid it is my fault. They heard I was coming and discontinued it the day before I arrived.

I didn't keep the exact stats on this, but I would say that I played it six times and went downstairs with the intent to play it 12-15 times. It seems to be available from Midnight-Noon most often.

Never seen the machine full with a line. Maybe I've seen people playing it 1 out of 20 times I'm there
***I'm sure you're working from a much greater sample size, though.

First I've heard of this loss rebate; has anyone done it? Do they hand out the rebate in daily/weekly/monthly increments, or all at once? That's usually the annoying part of these rebates for tourists.

I flipped through the 2014 ACG at Barnes & Noble the other day and was disappointed at the low number of match plays (many for $5!), and the fact that many of the coupons required you to be a "new member." As a frequent Vegas-goer, I'm already a member of almost every player's club on the strip and downtown, and I generally don't make it to any of the more outlying properties.
I know some of them might waive the requirement if my membership has been inactive for N number of months, but it's never stated on the coupon and you never know for sure. Anyway, pretty annoying, and I decided not to buy it.
I shall have to investigate the LVA publication and see if I like the coupons any better.
Wow you go to The D a lot. The D is suspiciously close to the Plaza which seems like a good rondevu point for any high profile Plaza entertainersQuote: djatcNever seen the machine full with a line. Maybe I've seen people playing it 1 out of 20 times I'm there

They used to have some real good coupons in a few of the better coupon books. I seem to remember Anthony Curtis being furious with a few APs for burning some of his casino advertisers. Dam AP's, we just cant have anything nice anymore ;)

This sounds like a job for Mission-phone call-146

Personal experience, actually, if you lose the full $100, $50 the next day and $50 the day after.

Nice! I might actually be able to do this one. I will ask ahead, of course. Thanks, M146.
You can get some value out of them away from downtown, but you have to have the car and the discipline to only play the amount required in each casino to maximize the value.
It can stretch your play by a couple of hundred dollars and a little gas if you have time--that would help you gamble more within your budget.
It is still a decent deal for us but it can't lose much more or it won't be worth buying. I personally don't want to spend valuable time chasing a $5 coupon all over Vegas... The food coupons could be good, but I hardly eat in Vegas...
It used to be worth it I find most people that try to accomplish it give up half way through. it just not worth the tie and effort to do the all I say pick 3 or 4 of the best and be done with it have fun. You got to drive around, find parking walk to the players club, wait in line, go back to the players club, call attendants, cash out slot tickets chips. all for the low low price of a few bucks in EV.Quote: GWAEWe are taking a trip in August but we have a small budget especially for 10 day trip. I look forward to getting as many of these offers as possible.
On a side note There is a Las Vegas subculture of transients, usually young kids/men with rough backgrounds, who run around doing all the free new player free play stuff.
I'm fairly confident this information on how to do this is from guys at the St Vincent Mission. I seen one guy who seemed to be the ring leader who was coaching a small group of people at EI. I have had a conversation with a few of these guys, They all see to be rude and very uneasy about the entire thing. One guy said, "you will have to pay me to learn this system and how to gamble like a G" as he cashed out his $8 bucks.
I used to do the ACG/LVA runs the first couple times I went to Vegas. It was fun and I made in the $400s each time. Friends too. (Good variance helped). It was certainly fun but as the offers have gotten worse stopped doing it. It was pretty tiring but I enjoyed visiting every casino. Always something new to do in Vegas, that is what is great about it.Quote: AxelWolfIt used to be worth it I find most people that try to accomplish it give up half way through. it just not worth the tie and effort to do the all I say pick 3 or 4 of the best and be done with it have fun. Over two days in 50$ increments.

Well played and it could have lasted if someone didn't explain

Mission, I saw on the Royal Club webpage that it is for slot play, do you know if that includes Vp? Also, is their restrictions on what you can use the $50 free play on?

I know that you can certainly use the free play on Video Poker machines, I'll give them a call later and determine whether or not playing VP applies for the rebate, but I don't think it does.
