I think DI may be possible to eek out an edge on pass+come with max 10x odds. But overcoming H/E on place bets? That’s a tough sell.
It’s hard to find objective info aout here on the internet. Either people have bought into it wholesale or are 100% convinced it is impossible. If I owned a casino, I’d happily encourage it and would “take it easy” on shooters and the occasional short roll.
Hell, even if you have a “good DI” bet big at your table, the table would flood with ploppies betting big on +10% h/e proposition bets and you’d still make money. You can’t overcome that H/E even if DI was a thing.

This academic study seems to indicate that even machines cannot influence the outcome of dice.
I think finding bubble craps machines in disrepair would give you a better shot at non-random outcomes than DI on a normal craps table.
Gambling is a math contest where the score is tracked in dollars. Try not to get a negative score.

Just watched a video last night where an upstart DI from last century was rolling 30-50 or more times without hitting a 7. That's good for not wiping out your Come bets with odds on the Come-out rolls. I usually try to hit 7-11 on the Come-out rolls and that's where I go wrong with the Come bets strategy. I may find I can't attempt to roll 6's and 8's without a much higher risk of a 7-out so I should bet the outside numbers instead despite the extra HA. Just bet horn numbers and try to run those up too. Go wild, lol!
